Frequently Asked Questions

Making your voice heard β€” answered.

Why send a postcard instead of an email?

1. Emails are easily ignored. Congressional offices receive tens of thousands of emails a week. They are instantly filtered, sorted by algorithms, and often mass-deleted or replied to with automated form letters by junior interns.

2. Physical mail demands physical attention. A postcard is a tangible object. It cannot be deleted with a keystroke. A staffer must physically pick it up, read it, log it, and place it on a desk. It takes up physical space in the office.

3. It proves you are a real constituent. Because our postcards require a real billing address and are delivered by the USPS, it signals to your representative that you are a verified voter in their district, not a bot or an out-of-state activist.

Common Questions

How much does it cost?

Starting at $3.99 β€” the more representatives you write to, the less each card costs. Send to all three of your federal representatives (1 House Rep + 2 Senators) for just $9.99, or 8 cards for $19.99 β€” you can write up to 20 representatives in a single order. This covers heavy cardstock printing, official USPS First Class postage, and secure payment processing.

How long does delivery take?

Your message is routed to our USA-based print facility within seconds of checkout. It is printed and handed off to the USPS within 24 hours. From there, USPS First Class Mail typically takes 4 to 6 business days to arrive at Capitol Hill.

Can I track my postcards?

Yes. Every order includes a private tracking page that follows each card through the USPS stream β€” Printed, In the mail, Near the capitol, and Arriving β€” with a confirmed-delivery check when USPS provides a final scan. The link is in your receipt email. No account needed.

Can I write my state legislators too?

Yes. We cover state representatives and senators in all 50 states, plus D.C. and Puerto Rico β€” choose "State Legislature" when you search. Bonus: mail to state capitols isn't irradiated the way D.C.-bound congressional mail is, so it often arrives faster, and your state legislator hears from far fewer constituents than Congress does.

I live outside the U.S. β€” can I still send postcards?

Yes. Use the Americans Abroad flow: your postcard carries your last U.S. voting address as the return address, which tells your representative you vote in their district. The card is printed and mailed inside the U.S., so there's no international postage or delay.

Is my payment information secure?

Absolutely. We use Stripe to process all payments. We never see, touch, or store your credit card information on our servers.

What if something goes wrong with printing?

You're never charged for postcards that don't print. When you check out, we place a temporary hold on your card β€” your payment is only captured after our print facility accepts your postcards. If printing fails for any reason, the hold is released automatically and you pay nothing.

Are there rules for what I can write?

Yes. We believe in passionate, firm civic engagement, but we do not tolerate abuse. All messages are scanned prior to printing. Messages containing hate speech, harassment, or threats of violence will be automatically blocked and will not be printed.
